Australia mirrors the international text, then adds to it. The AASB issues each IFRS Accounting Standard as an Australian equivalent with the same number, so IFRS 15 becomes AASB 15. Standards inherited from the old IASC keep their IAS number internationally but sit in the 100 series here: IAS 1 is AASB 101 and IAS 41 is AASB 141.
The AASB 10xx standards have no international equivalent. They are where Australian practice diverges: not-for-profit income, the reporting tiers, public sector reporting and the extra disclosures the AASB requires.
